Sleazy Joe Biden looks more like some drunken bum heckling heroes who are determined to beat back the COVID-19 pandemic than the next president. His latest tactic to win over voters is to attack the Trump Administration and pretend he knew about the virus before everyone else.
But, in reality, many shortages our hospitals are facing are the results of team Obama-Biden using up America’s stockpile of protective masks and never bothering to replenish it. The Trump Administration and everyday Americans are shocked and appalled at the reckless disregard Sleazy Joe demonstrated when in the White House.
According to notoriously left-wing Bloomberg News, “after the H1N1 influenza outbreak in 2009, which triggered a nationwide shortage of masks and caused a 2- to 3-year backlog orders for the N95 variety, the stockpile distributed about three-quarters of its inventory and didn’t build back the supply.”
And the left-leaning LA Times supported the verified facts about the shortage confirming that “a federally backed task force and a safety equipment organization both recommended to the Obama administration that the stockpile be replenished of the 100 million masks used after the H1N1 outbreak.”
When the COVID-19 pandemic landed on U.S. soil, the country was short more than 600,000 potentially life-saving masks because Sleazy Joe and Obama were too lazy to do their job.
President George W. Bush called for a stockpile of personal protective gear as part of the National Strategy for Pandemic Influenza in 2005. President Bush made the stockpile of masks a central piece of the plan to protect citizens from contracting potentially deadly viruses.
According to data from the CDC, the H1N1 virus, aka swine flu, epidemic in 2009 infected upwards of 60 million Americans. Hospitals cared for approximately 274,000, and 12,469 people died. One might think that over the next six years, Biden and Obama would restock. Instead, they pushed anti-business regulations and made healthcare unaffordable.
“I want to be in daily or at least significant contact with the American people and communicate what I would be doing, what I think we should be doing, and how we should be doing it,” Biden reportedly said. “I promise you that’s on the way.”
Having 100 million on hand would have supplemented the normal stock at medical supply warehouses and standard construction masks required by OSHA and other agencies. If it were not for the carelessness of the Obama-Biden administration, no shortage would exist today.
Sleazy Joe has been noticeably absent since the national health emergency began. Rather than be on the front lines, or mobilizing his base to take proactive measures to keep supply lines, open, protect our valued elders, or buy face masks with the millions in his campaign coffers, Biden remains in hiding.
His campaign reports that he plans to push videos talking about next steps but will not be answering questions. That’s largely because people want to know why he didn’t bother to replenish the protective mask stockpile after his administration used them up during the swine flu outbreak.
