Congressman Paul Gosar (R-AZ) has become only the second Member of the US House of Representatives in American history to be kicked off his committee assignments by the opposition party. Gosar will now hopefully join Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) in using all his free time in Congress to be a thorn in the Democrats’ side.
If you want to know exactly what Paul Gosar did to raise the ire of the Democrats, that’s now impossible to find out. The evidence has been totally scrubbed from social media. But apparently, Gosar posted a meme about Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY). And the mainstream media assures us that the meme – which you are not allowed to see or judge for yourself – was really, really sick. Or something.
I haven’t been able to track down this cartoon meme because it has been very effectively scrubbed from the internet. Apparently, according to people who saw it before Twitter and Facebook censored it, it was one of those memes in which the creator took a clip from a cartoon and superimposed the faces of some politicians on it. Paul Gosar’s face was on the hero’s body, AOC’s face was on the villain, and so on. In the cartoon meme, Paul Gosar then flies around with a jetpack and fights the AOC character with a pair of Star Wars-style light saber swords. Gosar retweeted the video on a weekend morning when he must have been bored.
(Isn’t it great that Congress is absorbed with important stuff like this, while the price of meat just increased 30% in the stores?)
You would think that Gosar actually murdered Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, based on the hyperventilating that the cartoon caused the Democrat Party. Remember, AOC spent weeks telling everyone about the trauma of her near rape experience on January 6, even though she was in a completely different building from where the protest happened.
Democrats and their media lapdogs screeched that the cartoon was proof that Rep. Paul Gosar does not want women to hold political office. He’s like the Taliban! He wants all women in office to be killed so that he can reinforce the patriarchy!
Republicans mostly yawned at the story, because it was a cartoon meme and Paul Gosar had obviously not flown around in a jet pack while attacking Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez with laser swords. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) called on law enforcement to investigate Gosar’s “horrific video,” but so far it doesn’t look like Capitol Police are interested in getting to the bottom of the cartoon video.
The Democrats got so fed up with law enforcement’s failure to take action on the cartoon meme that they finally voted on Wednesday to censure Paul Gosar and to strip him of his two committee assignments. The vote was 223 to 207, with only “Republicans” Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger joining the Democrats.
AOC was distressed about the vote. She told reporters that in a “perfect world,” they would be allowed to kick Paul Gosar out of Congress entirely for posting a cartoon meme on his Twitter page. But she’ll just have to soldier on and be content with whatever pound of flesh they can extract from Gosar.
“We cannot have members joking about murdering each other,” lectured Nancy Pelosi. That’s odd, considering that the Gosar video was edited from a children’s cartoon, whereas Pelosi’s party never condemned anyone in Hollywood for making violent threats against the Trump family. None of the Democrats thought it was “sick” when Peter Fonda said that Barron Trump should be “locked in a cage with pedophiles.” They didn’t say a word when Kathy Gifford posed for a photo holding what looked like Donald Trump’s severed head. But please lecture us more about standards and norms, Nancy.
The Democrats have now – on two occasions – violated one of the oldest “gentleman’s agreements” in the House of Representatives. You don’t get to kick Representatives from the opposing party off of committee assignments. But that’s exactly what they’ve done twice now.
How do we make them stop? Well, when the GOP takes back the House in 2022, it’s not like Joe Biden (or whoever is in the White House by then) is going to sign off on their legislation. Republicans should dedicate all of their time to kicking Democrats off their committee assignments for their outlandish behavior. Just keep going until they squeal for mercy. Start with the loudest mouths: Maxine Waters, AOC, Ilhan Omar, Cori Bush, and so on. And don’t stop until the Democrats surrender with a consent decree that they’ll never again vote to strip an opposing party member of their committee assignments.
It’s time for the GOP to fight back just as dirty, if they’re going to restore some semblance of sanity to Congress.
The demorats can dish it out but can’t take it when the narrative is reversed thin skinned bunch of hypocrites who don’t know what it is to struggle in this economy to make ends meet these nuts on cnn saying we can afford it that’s true when you have a million dollars in your account they waste enough money on trashy bills that they could help struggling family in the country stupid politicians

Exactly. Their ideas are still stupid, but their cheating President Trump allowed them power. Unfortunately, due to the fact the so-called educated party has no real education in science, economics, geophysics, biology or anything else.
