Why Ben Carson Could Be a Great President

Trump certainly has the larger than life personality and bravado that allows him to dominate much of the media attention.

However there is a much softer spoken candidate that’s making a serious run in the polls, and I’m listening.

Before we move on, I just want to be clear about one thing… Though I might in the future, I’m not endorsing one particular candidate at this time.

I believe we’re at the point in the election cycle where we must focus on getting the right candidate to run against the democrats. That means listening to and looking at all potential candidates.

Now that I’ve got that out of the way I’d like to take a minute or two to talk about Dr. Ben Carson.

Ben Carson’s story is truly one that defines what the American dream is all about.  He grew up extremely poor in a single-parent household in Detroit.  His mom, while hard working, only had a third grade education.

She understood that education and hard work was the great equalizer.  So she pushed her kids to focus on learning and reading.  This paid off, as Ben attended Yale, went on to the University of Michigan Medical School, and performed his residency at John Hopkins University.

From there Dr. Carson went on to become a world renowned neurosurgeon.  Perhaps his most significant accomplishment was becoming the first surgeon to successfully separate Siamese twins conjoined at the head.

He became an amazing success despite having just about every excuse not to.  While many on the other side love to push the agenda of the “rich and entitled” keeping the poor down.  Dr. Carson proves that in America anything is possible with hard work and perseverance.

This video here provides a good overview of Dr. Ben Carson as a presidential candidate.
