The leader of a major toy company blasted President Joe Biden on Wednesday over the growing supply chain crisis leading up to the holiday shopping season.
MGA Entertainment CEO Isaac Larian said during a Fox News “America’s Newsroom” interview Wednesday that ports open 24 hours a day every day doesn’t help without the needed workers.
“Whether the ports are open 24 hours a day or 48 hours a day, you cannot get labor. If you cannot get labor, you cannot get trucks, you cannot get the merchandise out,” Larian said.
“I think this directive is too little, too late. And frankly, it’s a political gimmick to me,” he added.
Larian also noted the situation is worse than he has seen in four decades in the industry.
“I’ve been doing this for 42 years. I have never, ever seen something like this before. And frankly, the administration knew about this and — what they are doing is too little, too late to save this holiday,” he said.
This isn’t the fault of the coronavirus and it’s definitely not something you can blame on Trump. This time, the fault is clearly on the Biden administration, and one toy company leader is not holding back from calling him out over it.
He’s one of many Americans already upset about the way Christmas is shaping up, and it’s not even November. Those looking ahead can already see there’s a crisis looming. We’re not talking about being unable to find the latest toy the day before Santa comes. This is about empty store shelves leading into the holidays and the winter months.
These are the kinds of problems communist nations have. Supply shortages, price gouging, limitations, inflation. America is a free economy and supposedly the strongest economy in the world. But now we can suddenly no longer move containers from boats to trucks to stores? Something doesn’t smell right, and the smell seems to be coming straight from the swamp of the White House.
If our nation’s government really wanted to get its ports on track, it could do it in a few days. We have thousands of National Guard troops who do this kind of thing every time there is a major flood or hurricane. That’s in addition to everyday Americans who are great at coming together to solve problems without the government.
There seems to be some type of issue creating the problem. Between increased regulations on goods coming into the country and paying people not to work, plus vaccine requirements leading to workers leaving in large numbers from some companies, the Biden administration has created problems instead of solving them.
Remember when Biden said he would unite the country? Yeah, that was funny, wasn’t it? If only we could have our mean tweets back and have a country that was great again. Then maybe we could have a holiday free from at least a few problems related to the expanding government in Washington.
We can’t use the National Guard for everything. That will just make the presence of military in our cities, and lives NORMAL. Then when they come to take us over, we won’t think twice about military involvement. The New Normal, ay?
