No, it wasn’t a rock concert in downtown Dallas. This was a campaign rally for Donald Trump in front of a packed house at the 18,000+ seat American Airlines Arena.
Many supporters even camped outside for hours just to grab a good seat.
It’s almost unheard of for candidates to create such a large public gathering of support in the primaries. Even candidates who have been able to draw crowds of this size, like Barrack Obama, have always done this much later in the election cycle.
Trump covered topics such as getting a strong negotiator into the white house…
“We are going to fight hard, negotiate well. We will get rid of the regulations that are destroying us.”
Building a border wall around Mexico…
“The border wall with Mexico will not be a wall that you can get over with a ladder from Home Depot. “It will be a beautiful wall.”
He also discussed the trade deficit with China… even suggesting the idea of using activist investor Carl Icahn to negotiate.
“I would put Carl Icahn in charge of dealing with China”
Trump made it a point to say how he was self financing his entire campaign. That way he won’t be beholden to individuals and corporations who make large donations.
These were all key points that fired up the crowd of supporters.
If you missed it… Here’s a quick video of some of the highlights.
