Dan Crenshaw Draws Boos After Being Called Out for Comparing Jesus Christ to Superman

Get your RINO radar ready, because this one is a doozey. At an event, Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) appeared to take umbrage with a young girl that was attending, when she asked the Rep. about a statement he had made previously about Jesus Christ.

Crenshaw was asked by the girl about comments he had made during a March 2020 podcast appearance, where Crenshaw compared Jesus Christ to Superman, implying that he thought that Jesus Christ was a fictional character and wasn’t a real person.

“I can’t wrap my head around this,” said the young girl, explaining why she asked Crenshaw about the statement.

“I’ll help you,” Crenshaw said condescendingly. “Put a period after Jesus and don’t question my faith.” The crowd immediately erupted at his reaction and it wasn’t good.

The crowd turned on Crenshaw, saying he “can’t talk to a kid like that.” A small “Let’s Go Brandon” chant broke out, except directed at Crenshaw instead of Joe Biden.

“I can question your faith if this is what you said,” the girl told the Congressman.

“You guys can ask questions about all these things and I will answer that, but don’t question my faith,” Crenshaw shot back to the girl.

The back and forth only further infuriated the audience and shouts of “moron” could be heard coming from attendees towards the Congressman.

Crenshaw had compared the Son of God to a fictional superhero during an interview on the Jocko Podcast in 2020, saying “Jesus is a hero archetype.”

“The important thing is that we have societal hero archetypes that we look up to. Jesus is a hero archetype, Superman is a hero archetype. Real characters too, you know, I put, I could name a thousand,” Crenshaw said.

“You know, know Rosa Parks, Ronald Reagan, all of these people embody certain attributes that the American people think ‘This is good.’”

Crenshaw appeared to be separating fictional characters from individuals he considered to be real, with the obvious Parks and Reagan comparison and lumping in Jesus Christ with Superman.

“Nowhere in that quote am I saying Jesus is not real. That’s a ridiculous statement,” Crenshaw said to the girl. “Of course he’s the Son of God and of course he’s real.”

She retorted, “You can say two different things. You can say that on a podcast and you can say this here.”

“On the podcast nobody would’ve understood it that way. I think you’re twisting it that way, which isn’t very Christian,” Crenshaw said, triggering more boos from the audience.

“Come on!” members of the audience said to Crenshaw. “Let’s go Brandon!”

Crenshaw has a history of attacking his own party members and fellow Reps, including Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia. Instead of showing support when she was permanently banned from Twitter, Crenshaw implied she deserved the ban and proceeded to attack her on social media.

Crenshaw should be careful to not piss off his supporters, he is certainly replaceable. He may find himself one of those politicians that gets rejected by America First voters, when his reelection campaign comes around again.
